I’m afraid to look back and see when the last time I posted was… it’s been awhile. I’ll tell you one thing though, my dear followers – I will never take my health for granted again!
It all started ON Thanksgiving day – when I get another kidney stone. I tried my hardest not to go to the hospital, but after another day or so of intense pain, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to pass it on my own. Another surgery scheduled. On the same day my mom was getting surgery and I promised her I’d be there. Greeeatt! I am thankful for this time, however, since it was the first time in my history of getting surgeries and stents that I did NOT get an infection in my kidney afterwards. YAY! But about a day or so after I pulled my stent out- probably due to my weakened immune system, I got SICK. Beyond sick.
For about a week, gallons of snot poured out of my nose.I should probably have bought stock in Kleenex… Now, for about the past THREE weeks, it’s been this crazy cough. Cough. Cough. Hack. Cough. Throw up because you can’t stop coughing. Lost my voice due to the irritation.
Now, OVER a month later, I’m still not completely well. Between Mucinex, Nyquil, Vicks, and Halls – I’ve learned how to lessen the coughing attacks – but I kinda miss being able to communicate verbally, and being able to swallow.
Don’t take this as whining – There are individuals who have the same thing or who are going through a lot worse. I just wanted to justify my reasons for being away for oh so long. 🙂 And – to reiterate that I will never again take my health for granted!
Of course this happened during Christmas and Christmas rush sales, so that definitely made some impacts. We saw a great increase in sales, but since we were both VERY ill, we fell behind on some orders and of course I haven’t promoted in Lord knows how long. But, we officially are out of business debt! Family Christmas was still amazing as well despite the surgery and sickness- I was not as active obviously, and tried my best not to kiss on too many people, but I was still able to share in the beauty of the holidays with the ones I love most.
Can you believe it’s almost 2016!? The rest of today is going to be spent catching up on 2015 so that I can smoothly transition.. haha
So sorry to hear of your illness. Missed your postings, and glad to see you back. Congrats on the business financial situation. Merry Christmas and Have a Happy Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
